UPMA/ PONGAL with

millet zone's 

'SIRI DHANYA' MILLET

​

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 1 cup of Foxtail Millets

  • ¾ th cup of Greengram/Mung Half split with Greencover

  •  1 table spoon Oil/Ghee

  •  1 tb Jeera/Cumin

  •  1 tb Black pepper Powder

  •  2 Green chillies

  •  Curry Leaves 15

 

METHOD:

​

  • Lightly fry both the grains separately in a kadai for 3-4 minutes to dehydrate them.

  • Cook them separately in cooker at 1:2 ratio with water.

  • After they are cooked, mix them together, add needed Salt, add TADKA and Mix well.

  • Again keep it on Low flame on stove, add 1 or 2  spoons of water if needed and mix well.

  • Pongal is ready !!
